Relationship Transition Group Expectations
I have the honor of working with exceptional women! I hope that you are aware that I grow with each and every one of you as you do your hard work, have your AHA moments, and expand your self-awareness. Clients requested that I consider offering a group setting, and, it occurred to me that the opportunities for personal growth in such a group would expand exponentially. Participants in the group would gain the opportunity to offer and to receive support from other women, and, they may also gain friends for life.
Personally, I can attest to the amount of growth that I experienced through my own participation in a similar group earlier in my life. My self-awareness and self-esteem sky-rocketed through observing others process their personal challenges, their recognition of self-sabotaging behaviors that negatively impacted their experience of success, and, the life course corrections they embarked upon resulting in enhanced feelings of self-sufficiency. I was able to relate to their emotional growth and how that mirrored my life experiences in one way or another.
So, I am excited to offer a bi-weekly “Relationship Transition Coaching Group” group beginning on Fridays from 9 to 10:30 AM MST beginning on October 21st, 2022. This group will be inclusive of those struggling through the termination of a relationship, those experiencing conflict within their family setting and/or blended family setting, or, those entering a new phase of life with a focus on creating new relationships. We will focus on communication strategies and on voicing our wants/needs with clarity, consistency, as well as, from our base of power. We will discuss boundaries, learning how to implement them, and, how to maintain them in empowering ways. And of course, we will discuss emotions!
Participation:
There will be a maximum of 8 participants and myself. The opening session will allow for all participants to introduce themselves for 10 minutes each. Our following session formats will include a 3 minute “weather report” for those who are not “working” in session. Then we will have 2 participants engage in a 30-minute working session each. This entails a participant sharing a challenge that she feels is important to process with the group’s support. As the moderator, I will offer feedback first. Then the group will have the opportunity to provide feedback and support. All feedback provided will be positive and supportive. At no time will any participant offer feedback that is blaming, shaming, or judgmental.
Confidentiality and Safety:
All participants will agree to maintain confidentiality within the group to ensure that all participants feel safe knowing that any and all confidences shared within the group will remain private. The group will meet bi-weekly. There will be a 3-month commitment for each member to provide the opportunity for relational bonding and for participants to experience feelings of emotional safety within the group. At the end of the 3 months, participants will decide to continue with the group for another 3 months or to end their engagement with the group. When a person leaves the group, the moderator will invite appropriate participants to fill any openings in the group.
Fee Structure:
The fee will be private pay of $75 per session/$150 per month. The fee will be due at the beginning of each month and an invoice will be sent to participants. Those not able to make a session will be responsible for payment for the session missed. The group sessions will take place on Zoom. A Zoom invitation will be forwarded to your inbox the day prior to our meeting time.
